We’re excited to announce version 1.17.1 of the ThoughtSphere Platform – continuing our commitment to AI-orchestrated clinical intelligence across every stage of development!
This release introduces a new fully-integrated Clinical Research Associate (CRA) Agent and bi-directional integration with Zelta EDC!
Other updates include Oncology analytics capabilities, hardened study configuration governance, and quality of life features.

NEW Clinical Research Associate (CRA) Agent:

An AI-powered operational co-pilot that analyzes site risk, drafts trip reports, prepares visit agendas, recommends query actions, monitors travel alignment, and operates seamlessly across eTMF, CTMS, and EDC environments.

• Site Oversight & Risk Reviews – Analyzes KRIs and site metrics to identify issues in recruitment, retention, PI oversight, protocol deviations, and queries that the CRA should focus on.
• Generate Trip Reports – Instantly drafts trip reports & auto-populates details based on Notes and data findings from the visit.
• Visit Agenda Prep & Follow-Up Actions Streamlines pre and post-visit activities through smart generation of the next Visit Agenda, and the review and closure of Follow-up Actions.
• Query Resolution – Analyzes answered CRA queries and suggests response (close, requery, remind), including recommended query text.
• Travel Planning & Expenses – Tracks upcoming travel and alerts the CRA to discrepancies between planned visit dates and travel dates.
• Unified Interface – Works across eTMF, CTMS, EDC without switching systems.

FINE-TUNED Data Validation Plan Agent:
Improved clarity, robustness, and targeting of generated data checks – strengthening accuracy of coding and reducing ambiguity in validation rule outputs.

EXPANDED Chat Agent with Context of the User Manual: Now trained with full user manual context to deliver workflow guidance and answer questions about functionality of the platform.

EXPANDED Study Document Management: Upload Protocol Amendments, Data Validation Plans, and Other study documents to be used in Agentic workflows such as the Data Validation Plan agent. Complete with version tracking.

OPTIMIZED Study Configuration Migration: Improved migration logic ensures easier tracing of migrated study configurations between environments. Created Date, Modified/Update, Modified by, are listed as blank and Created by is traced to SYSTEM_MIGRATE.
